Ok. I know it really isn't an acronym for anything, it just sounds cool, but by first impressions, food looks great, dorms looks great (brand new), professors, who are all graduates and doctorates of MIT, Stanford, etc. seem to know their stuff really, really well.<br /><br />Here are some pictures of the view I can see from the balcony of my dorm. The good thing is that it's like 30 sec. walk from my dorm to the cafe.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/8122/3322/1600/great3.jpg"><img style="cursor: pointer;" src="http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/8122/3322/320/great3.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a><br /><br />But one thing that totally shocked me was how this program is actually an amalgamation, a mix of things I love - video editing, programming, dorm life, great food, learning - all canned into a fast paced 4 week program. There are 7 "clusters" in this program, and cluster 1, which I am in, is called "media computing." What we do, according to the orientation, is using the Python Programming language to manipulate and create images, audio, and video. Essentially, we are making programs that have very basic features of Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc. In the end, we are expected to create a "final project", which is a video that chronicles our journeys at COSMOS.<br /><br />Anyways.
